2018 Year of the Dog |
If you don't see your event listed on this page and you want it to be listed, please contact me.
Kansas City has an active Asian population with events and celebrations all through the year.
We have the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum which has a very fine collection of Asian Art, the annual Dragon Boat Races, Japan Festival, and Ethnic Festival along with many various holiday celebrations.
What Kansas City doesn't have is a "Chinatown" or even one neighborhood where you can go to find Asian businesses or events. But they can be found if you know where to look.
On this page you'll find clues to help you discover a few gems.

The fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar is the day the Chinese celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival or Double Fifth Festival!
